I, like most, happened across Origami Owl jewelry as a guest invited to an Origami Owl Jewelry Bar. My friend hosted one and – if you know me, I love jewelry and accessories so I was very excited to attend. I spent quite a bit of time browsing the table setup with all the pretty sparkly things! During the course of the evening, I learned how Origami Owl came to be. The concept of putting charms inside a locket was conceived. The business went from being located in a garage to a mall kiosk and then a small office location and beyond! The idea that locket jewelry could bring people together, help someone heal, express themselves through a representation in their jewelry – is very moving. It is such an incredible and inspirational story.
I ended up ordering a leather wrap bracelet locket for myself filled with an airplane (love to travel), a rose (my favourite flower and O2 blue!) and a sparkly heart (to add a dash of love). I love how unique the jewelry is and how meaningful it is. I had never seen this anywhere before.
A couple months later, I ended up hosting an in-home jewelry bar myself (it was lead by my friend who signed up with Origami Owl as a designer) – I enjoyed getting my friends and family together and seeing them excited over the pieces like I was months ago. I ended up earning some free/discounted jewelry for hosting (sweet bonus)– and some of my credits went towards this locket. Representing my loves, birthstones of my kids and husband, isn’t it gorgeous!
Fast forward to the beginning of 2018 – Origami Owl had a promotion where you could join for free. And I saw the promo and I thought, well, I’ll just join for the discount on the jewelry to buy for myself or as gifts for others (like really, can anyone have too many pieces of jewelry? NO ONE!). And I swear, within a week or two, there I was ordering business cards and setting up social media for my new business. WHY? I couldn’t help myself. In such a short period of time, I could tell how such a close knit group of women are on the team I joined (and our upline) The passion and caring they show one another. And the support! And here I am about a year and a half later and cannot say enough of the experiences I’ve had, sharing the jewelry with others at their home.. or at local events. Being supported by so many wonderful people. Being able to use the extra funds I’m earning to support my family, goals, wishes. This experience has pushed me outside my comfort zone. I’m a quiet shy kind of gal, now out and about speaking with new people and making new relationships and connections with wonderful people through meaningful beautiful jewelry. Talk about growth. One of the best things is listening to stories people tell me about the charms they’ve chosen and why – I’m getting to know them through this amazing company and that is inspiring.
I hope I’ve been able to inspire someone as this company and people in the company have been able to inspire me.
Sparkle on everyone!
